Together with industrial designers and LED specialists, D-Tec have created an ambient light using only the latest in LED technology. A light unit optimised for those places that demand high performance
Halo is energy efficient, easy to clean and practically maintenance-free. But most important of all are the lighting ergonomics. Halo has a unique colour reproduction and a shadow- and glare-free lighting profile. The next generation LED lighting system is here.
The right lighting creates energy for you
By virtue of the new LED technology, Halo consumes up to 70% less energy than regular fluorescent units and has a life-span of up to 40,000 hours. But it’s not only better for the environment and your economy. The right lighting reduces eyestrain and increases your capacity for concentration, which makes you feel and perform better. All day long.
Design with a higher purpose
In many working environments in which the correct lighting is a prerequisite, the demands for hygiene and safety are also set at a high level. Halo’s sleek and smooth design makes it easy to clean, and the light source itself is enclosed, which effectively means that Halo is maintenance-free. It is also en- tirely silent thanks to the self-cooling aluminium construction. It generates hardly any heat at all.
Important decisions require high-quality lighting
We know that the right lighting is of great importance to our customers. That is why high demands were set when we developed Halo. The light that Halo generates is shadow and glare-free, features correct colour correlation and provides up to 3000 Lux. With the aid of the unit’s remote control, you easily create the optimal lighting conditions for working in different modes, such as treat- ment, viewing X-rays, and working with composite materials.
Looking after your eyes
Over the course of a working day, your eyes adjust thousands of times between the light from the powerful operating lamp around the patient’s mouth and the lighting in the surrounding environment. Excessive contrast in lighting conditions causes unnecessary strain, which results in tiredness, headaches and pain in neck and shoulders.
The right lighting enables you to work more comfortably and with greater precision. For this reason it is worth giving a little more thought to your lighting.
Softer contrast
D-Tec’s electric lighting systems for dental care are aimed primarily at the area surrounding the patient, in other words the lighting immediately outside the light from the powerful operating lamp. Most equipment is located within this area so it makes sense to soften the contrast in lighting conditions which will dramatically reduce strain on the eyes.
The ratio of lighting strength between the two areas where the most intensive work takes place should be 1:5. Therefore, if the light around the mouth is 25,000 lux, the light in the immediate surrounding areas should be around 5,000 lux.
As close to sunlight as possible
The sun is our best source of light, providing up to 100,000 lux on a beautiful summer’s day. In some dental surgeries, the light strength is only a few hundred lux, which can quickly cause the eyes to tire and leads to tension.
A better environment
Lighting systems from D-Tec are also a good choice in environmental terms. The lighting systems are energy-efficient and have a long lifespan. All the lighting systems also help create a pleasant indoor environment since the upper surfaces are smooth and easy to clean.
For workplaces with high standards
Halo has been developed for those who work in clinical environments and environments in which perfect vision is required. Environments in which the ability to concentrate and make decisions plays an essential part, for instance:
- Healthcare
- Dentistry
- Animal care
- Laboratories
- Medical- and dental technology
